Our mission is to provide assistance to cover the cost of pediatric patients’ needed therapy and equipment when insurance will not. Our vision is that every Arizona child receives the services and resources critical to living a full life! We are a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Tax ID:85-3162245

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to live a full life! Some children need specialized equipment and/or therapy to ensure this happens. Unfortunately, needed services and resources are costly, and too often insurance denies coverage. Therefore, Mariah’s Miracle was founded!

Who We Are

On March 23, 2020, Kids Place lost our beloved pediatric physical therapist Mariah Devries to cancer. Mariah joined Kids Place West in January 2018 after graduating from Northern Arizona University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She quickly became a favorite among her many pediatric patients and coworkers. Mariah married the love of her life, Brian, in 2017, and the two found out they were pregnant with their first child in 2019. Toward the end of her pregnancy, Mariah learned she had an aggressive form of cancer called epithelioid angiosarcoma that had already spread to her liver, ovaries, rib cage, spine, and brain.

At 26 years old, Mariah became a new mother, giving birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Clara, on January 19, 2020. At a time when new mothers should be bonding, nursing, and taking care of their infant, Mariah fought for her life and more time. We still struggle every day to learn how to live on Earth without her but take comfort knowing Mariah’s legacy will live on forever through her family, her beautiful daughter Clara, and the countless friends, coworkers, people, and children she touched in her short time.

Mariah’s Miracle x Desert Farm Lights
We’re excited to partner with Desert Farm Lights to bring family, fun, and community together — all while making a difference! 🎄✨
Mariah’s Miracle supports children when insurance falls short by providing essential equipment and services such as cranial helmets, safety beds, and adaptive therapy tools.
From December 10–14, 25% of all liquor sales at Desert Farm Lights will benefit Mariah’s Miracle.
Come enjoy festive lights, activities, great food, and holiday cheer — all while supporting a cause that is changing lives across our community. 💜

Dash For Dreams

JJoin us on January 31st for Mariah’s Miracle’s Dash for Dreams 5K + Kids Fun Run! Registration opens at 3:00 PM, and the race begins at 4:00 PM. This year, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new Kids Fun Run with an obstacle course, perfect for young racers who want to jump, climb, and dash their way to the finish. After crossing the line, every participant can enjoy free dessert and hot cocoa as we celebrate together. It’s a fun-filled, family-friendly event that supports children with special needs — we can’t wait to see you there! 🏃‍♀️.

Boots, Bags & BBQ Cornhole Tournament

Mariah’s Miracle’s Annual Cornhole Tournament at Chicken N Pickle is a high-energy day of friendly competition, great food, and meaningful impact. Teams of all levels are invited to toss, compete, and connect — all while helping raise critical funds for children with special needs in our community.
